Last updated on December 30th, 2021 | By: Grady Galvez

Though I have already reviewed pocket hoses earlier but this one is surely created with the newest features and technology. I really appreciate that how these are light weight, super easy to store and carry.

In comparison to the traditional rubber garden hoses this is better and easier to use. Apart from this it also has a re-engineered retractable rib-cage with an increased diameter that makes it for a more powerful spray.

Stay assured that the outer sleeve of the silver bullet hose won’t tangle, tear, burst, or kink.

One issue that is a matter of concern, as the previous hoses I have used did not hold for a year or more. But this one is claimed to be robust….let us find out!

What is it?

The silver bullet hose expands and features a cloth-like exterior casing with brass fittings on its ends. This hose also has a removable brass spray nozzle.

Improved Design

As mentioned above also the Pocket Hose Silver Bullet is a modified and improved version of the previous design.

Many Sizes

The older versions of the hose came in limited sizes whereas the newer one offers a range of them. The best part is you can easily expand the length of this while you fix it with to a water faucet (up to 100ft.).

This leaves you with more flexibility for gardening, cleaning, or watering tasks.

An ideal one for cleaning rain gutters, watering laws, washing car, or rinsing off your dog.

All this is possible due to its collapsible (foldaway) quality.

DuraRib Technology

DuraRib technology is what the new Pocket Hose Silver Bullet comprises of. This makes it more flexible and easy-to-use.

You can establish connection with any outdoor water faucet aiding with the brass connector protectors. Any water leaks are also prevented and this makes you feel good as there is no extra water left here and there making the spaces appear messy.

Solar Protected

The improved outer solar stripe shield keeps the hose protected from UV rays and any damage.

The reviews about the new silver bullet hose are mixed. Ever since these hoses released in the year 2012, many versions of this have taken birth.

We have reviewed its newest version which is 50ft. These are light in weight, but may need a bit more maintenance while being used and stored as harsh weather could cause damage.

Generally, there are three types of complaints that are associated with retractable hoses.

  • They may burst after much use and abuse.

  • They may gradually degrade when stored in a season

  • May breakdown if exposed to excessive pressure for a longer duration.

Expert tips:

  • Drain them properly and keep them well for experiencing their service for good number of years. Do not store while water is still in them.

  • Storing the hose indoors is a smart choice. Although they have an extra lining for protection (UV rays and other things), but storing outside is just not the call.

No brainer!! This will keep them safe from harmful UV rays and harsh weather conditions.

Final Observations and Thoughts

As I have reviewed a few more hoses earlier also but this one seems to be more durable and a higher quality hose.

I have been using this for a season or more and have felt that if drained and stored well this is less prone to any damage and sits stronger too. Even the expansion and contraction when in use and after use is fabulous.

You can surely try one as this is very easy to carry when you are out on a trip or just performing some home chores.
